circle collective: the a cappella jams

i do this thing called an a cappella jam. mostly improvised, sometimes freestyle. always a cappella...

like a vocal symphony or an all-vocal band jam.

i've been facilitating jam ceremonies for a lot of social justice and faith-based communities lately. using circle songs as a way to connect people across different cultures and faiths... infused with embodied practices, inspiring reflection and resonant spoken word, the jams are a gate for re-membering our selves more connected and whole.

the experience is always different – informed by those present – and bigger than the sum of it's parts.

here's how it works (vid)  now, listen (more vid)

Soo excited to be jamming in the company of these women, untamed, in the Berkshire Hills... and soaking in the rest of their full and soulful line-up. NOTE: There will be TWO separate fests this year. Jam with me during the 'Waning Session ' (part 2): August 9-13, 2017. I'll be offering two A Cappella Jam sessions over the course of our 5 days & 4 nights together. Go Deep during our Day 4 session, in the Sanctuary. Improv around the fire pit at the end of Day 2. Come, raise our voices, weave our stories and sing our songs.. See “DeLa" on the fest site's line-up for more..
